Died 1103 AF at the Winter ParliamentFrom the moment Armengar joined the outside world, Lir showed his determination to forge a bond with the Lions. No greater champion for their cause with his people could be asked for. Pledging himself firmly to the Lions cause, he accepted a commission in the navy and later in the Praetorian Guard. Lir's proficiency with a bow also shone through, and he served as the Lions' Faction Master Archer for almost a year. During that time he maintained both his duties to the Praetorians and aided his people against the activities of the individual known as Felix. It was to that same individual that Lir lost his life on Tamerus in the Spring of 1103, in an encounter which left Prince Mog mentally scarred. Lir's vitality and courage will be missed every bit as much as his aim with a bow. Original BackgroundLir is only one year out of the training camp, he is but 16 years old and is eager to serve in the aid of his people. Being only six when the strangers came Lir took no notice of them but like many others among his people he was cautious of them, he remembers the stories of their battle prowess and their great powers being told in the camp. Lir has always had a natural aptitude with a bow, this was recognized in him at a young age and as such Caradawc took him into training as a scout. Lir was part of a group of Cara, Searbhan, and several others one day who were scouting outside and they were ambushed by the Caleb, few of them escaped and to this day Lir has never been the same. Other people know him among the Armengarians for his complete lack of compassion, except for his wife and son. Lir is married to Arianrho another scout in Armengar whom he met in the camp when he was seven years of age. He has one son Artagal whom he loves more than anything else in the world. He isn't quite sure why he was chosen to attend the gathering of nations, maybe because of his skill with his bow the others thought they might have to fight. Lir found in the lions a group he felt a bond with. They showed themselves to be people who valued Honor more than anything else and he has since preached to the people of armengar that they are indeed worthy allies against the many foes that this new world brings. |
