Garrett

Human (Armengarian)

Garrett was born in 1083, his mother died in giving birth to him. His father, Daryl, was his only parent figure and became Garrett's idol. Garrett followed Armengar traditions and began training at the age of 5 and went to the front at the age of 9.

When he was 12, he went out in a talon with his father. Daryl led them straight into a Calebii patrol when he broke cover. The Armengarians was heavily outnumbered. They were holding in and falling back when Daryl saw that his son was cut off. Daryl charged through the Calebii and rescued Garrett. In doing so he left the talon's healer unguarded. Garrett remembers being dropped and told to run, then Daryl was cut down. With the healer unguarded the Calebii quickly dispatched her and it was only a matter of time before the others were overwhelmed. Garrett fled, he had been the only survivor of the attack. He was found, days later, by Armengar scouts and brought back to the Citadel. Garrett viewed the loss of the group as his father's mistake and as he aged Garrett vowed that he would never let such a foolish error be made again. When the Farseekers arrived Garrett viewed it as a chance to learn new tactics and skills. Garrett strives, constantly, to better himself and is intolerant of tactical shortcomings.

In 1097 Garrett met Tara, whom he fell in love with. For the first time in years he was able to think about some thing other than fighting and training. They married later that year and had their first child, Lothar, in 1099. A year ago their first daughter, Flora, was born. Though he can still see the battle for years ago when he closes his eyes for the first time in a long while he considers himself happy.
